OFFTAKE AGREEMENT
This kind of agreement is commonly used in natural resource development, in which the capital costs to extract the resource is important, and the company needs an assurance that some of its product will be sold. Companies may normally back out of an off take agreement over negotiations with other parties and with the payment of a fee.
