ORIGINATION
Origination is the process of creating a home loan or mortgage. During its process, the borrower submits his or her financial information, such as credit card info, tax returns, bank balances, etc., to the mortgage lender, who uses this info to decide which type of loan the borrower is qualified for and what interest rate he or she will pay.
