PARASITIC ADVERTISING
Parasitic advertising promotes one product at the cost of lost sales for another product. This type of marketing usually occurs when two products are close alternatives for one another. Generally, companies try to avoid this within their product offerings because it’s not the most efficient technique of maximizing the return on ad spending.
