PREFERRED HABITAT THEORY
A theory in the investing behavior of bond buyers, which states that investors have a preferred range of bond maturity lengths, and are only willing to go outside of this range in case higher wiled is available. This also states that investors prefer shorter-term bonds to linger-term bonds.
