QUALIFIED AUTOMATIC CONTRIBUTION ARRANGEMENTS - QACAS
These commonly known as QACAs, which were established under the Pension Protection Act of 2006 to increase the participation of workers in self-funded defined contribution retirement plans such as 401(k)s, 403(b)s and 457(b)s. Starting on January 1, 2008, those companies that use QACAs automatically enroll workers in the plans at a negative deferral rate, unless they specifically opt-out.
