QUALIFIED PRE-RETIREMENT SURVIVOR ANNUITY - QPSA
QPSA is a death benefit given to a deceased employee’s surviving spouse. In any case that the employee dies before his or her retirement, the QPSA is paid to the surviving spouse for the loss of retirement benefits that would have been paid to the employee.
