RAGNAR FRISCH

Ragnar Frisch is an economist from Norway, who became a joint winner of the first Nobel Prize in 1969 together with Jan Tinbergen for his research in econometrics. He also specialized in other areas of research such as linear regression analysis, time series, business cycles and production theory. He formed the Econometric Society, and invented the terms "microeconomics", "macroeconomics", and "econometrics".
