SCRAP PAPER
Scrap Paper are stock certificates that no longer have worth. A company that goes bankrupt usually, in most situations, will have the value of the equity of the shareholders reach zero. The shareholders who hold physical stock certificates will just have another worthless paper in their hands hence the term "scrap paper".
