SEC Form 13F is also referred to as the Information Required of Institutional Investment Managers Form. This means that SEC Form 13F is a filing which is a requirement of institutional investment managers filed quarterly by those with qualifying assets that are worth more than $100 million. The range of companies mandated by SEC Form 13F range from banks, insurance companies, investment advisers, broker-dealers, and pension funds. The SEC Form 13F must be filed within the 45 days leading to the end of the quarter.
