SEC FORM PREC14C
SEC Form PREC14C is also referred to as ‘preliminary information statements - contested solicitations’. This means that SEC Form PREC14C is a filing submitted by or on behalf of a registrant in the case of needing a shareholder vote in the event of a contested solicitation under the Securities and Exchange Commission. SEC Form PREC14C gives security holders information similar to the information available on Schedule 14A plus information about the interest of specific persons in or opposition on important matters and proposals from security holders. SEC Form PREC14C is needed so that it may be stated that proxies are not being solicited.
