SEC Form PREM14A is also referred to as ‘preliminary proxy statement relating to merger or acquisition’. This means that SEC Form PREM14A is a filing submitted by or on behalf of a registrant in the case of needing a shareholder vote on an issue related to a merger or acquisition under the Securities and Exchange Commission. SEC Form PREM14A was made so that shareholders have ample details for them to be able to make an informed vote at the upcoming security holders’ meeting or to authorize a proxy to vote in behalf of the security holder.
