SIRA
Securities Industry Regulatory Authority (SIRA) is the name given to the joint associations of the New York Stock Exchange Regulation and the National Association of Securities Dealers. SIRA has long been discarded in favor of the name ‘Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). The objective of SIRA was for the governance of business practices among brokers and the investing public and the reduction of cost inefficiencies for the two regulators.
