SECURITY

Security is a financial instrument that may be one of three things. First, it is a position of ownership in a publicly-traded corporation otherwise known as a stock. Second, it is a relationship with the governmental entity or a corporation involving credit otherwise known as a bond. Lastly, it is a right to ownership represented by an option. Basically, securities stand for a negotiable financial value depending on the used financial instrument. Securities issued are done by entities that may be an individual or a company known as an issuer.
