SERIES 53
Series 53 is an examination under the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and supervised by the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) to become licensed municipal securities principal that is entitled to supervise and manage the sales of municipal securities, agency securities, and US Treasury obligations by licensed broker/dealers. Series 53 was made to challenge the knowledge of test takers regarding the basics of municipal securities creation and trading, settlement practices, sales supervision, and record-keeping. The exam is composed of 100 questions accomplished within 3 hours with a passing grade of 70%.
