SHOCK THERAPY
Shock Therapy is an abrupt change in a national economic policy. The changes comes so suddenly that it turns a state-controlled economy into a free-market one. Shock therapy involves the halting of price controls, trade liberalization, and privatization of publicly-owned entities. Shock therapies are usually done to remedy the economy that has hyperinflation, shortages, and other issues.
