SHORT TENDER
Short Tender is an investing practice prohibited by Rule 14e-4 of the Securities Exchange Act under the Securities and Exchange Commission. It is when borrowed stocks are utilized to counter an offer in times of attempted acquisition of a shareholder’s share where the purchase price is, more often than not, at a premium to the price in the market.
