SPAN margin is a leading margin system that stands for Standardized Portfolio Analysis of Risk (SPAN). Most futures exchange and options exchange make use of the SPAN margin as the of the margin is one of the most advanced set of algorithms. It determines the margin using global assessment of the one-day risk in the account of the trader.
