SIC CODE
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC Code) is categorizing method of business activities made in 1937 by the US government. The SIC Code assigns a standard four-digit code to classify the business activities. In 1997, however, the SIC Code was replaced by the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) that used six-digit codes in most capacities.
