STOCK APPRECIATION RIGHT - SAR
Right to receive a bonus equivalent to the appreciation in the firm’s stock over a given period. Normally awarded to an employee, it benefit the holder with an increase in the stock price. The employee needs not to pay the exercise price but will just receive the amount of increase in cash or stock.
