Established in 1863, the exchange joined the NOREX alliance in 1997, part of an effort for the Nordic exchanges to gain greater international investment through a common trading platform and regulations. The exchange is now held by the Nordic division of NASDAQ OMX, the biggest exchange holding firm worldwide.
