STOP TRADING ON CONGRESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE ACT - STOCK ACT

Bipartisan bill preventing Congressional members from trading stocks on nonpublic information collated on Capitol Hill. Enacted on April 4, 2012, it elucidates Congress members and staff are responsible for not misappropriating nonpublic details in order to generate profit. Also, the Act escalates transparency in financial disclosure reporting and obligated members and government employees to report certain investment transactions within 45 days.
