SUKUK
Islamic financial certificate adhering to Sharia, an Islamic religious law. Like a bond issued in the West, the issuer of this bond sells the certificate to an investor group, then rents it back to the issuer for a preset rental fee. The issuer also creates a contractual promise to purchase back the bond these bonds in the future at par value.
