SURVIVOR BOND
Bond whose future coupons are based on the percentage of the indicated population group who are survivors or still on future coupon payment dates. The coupon payments drop until it eventually reach zero as mortality increases and survivors decrease over time. Annuity providers and pension plan managers use these bonds to hedge the sun of longevity risk.
