SYNDICATED LOAN
Loan made by a group of lenders working together to provide funds for the borrower, which may refer to a company, huge project, or a government. A loan involves fixed amounts, credit line, or combination of the two. Interest rates on the loan may be fixed or floating depending on a benchmark rate. The loan normally has a lead bank or underwriter called agent, arranger, or lead lender. Also called syndicated bank facility.
