TARGETED ACCRUAL REDEMPTION NOTE - TARN
Investment vehicle providing a guaranteed total of coupon payments. Once the coupons received hit the target cap, the note can be redeemed and an individual is paid on the note’s value at parity. Normally, its payments are based on an inverse floating LIBOR formula. Having said that, the note may perform well in the short-term if interest rates drop, but it may also perform poorly if rates climb.
