TAX BRACKET
Rate at which an individual is taxed, which is set according to income levels. Taxpayers with lower income pay lower tax rates than individuals with higher income levels. It serves as cutoff points for specified income tax rates. So if a person’s annual taxable income exceeds the specified cutoff point, he is taxed based on the next bracket.
