TAX SHELTER
Minimizing or reducing an investor’s tax liability. Either legal or illegal, it ranges from investments or investment accounts with favorable tax treatment, to transactions that cuts down taxable income. An employer-sponsored 401(k) plan is the most common type of tax shelter.
