TAX SERVICE FEE
Legitimate closing cost used by lenders to ensure their property taxes are paid on time. The buyer normally pays the fee at the time the house is purchased. Then, the lender transfers the sum to a tax service agency. The agency is responsible for looking for delinquent property taxes and notify the mortgage firm to avoid placing tax liens against their borrowers’ homes.
