TAX-DEFERRED SAVINGS PLAN
Savings plan or account allowing the holder to defer paying of tax obligations. Registered with the government, it may delay taxable income earned within the account either until withdrawal or a set date. These are most commonly used in retirement savings accounts including IRAs, 401(k)s, and RRSPs, but can also be applied to education savings plans and other savings plans.
