Independent organization within the Internal Revenue Service created to assist both individuals and businesses on tax-related matters by giving free, confidential, and personalized service in resolving IRS problems. Reporting directly to the National Taxpayer Advocate, it also has an online toolkit to educate taxpayers on their rights and responsibilities.
