TELECOM ARBITRAGE
Arbitrage strategy used by telecommunications firm, which allows their mobile or cellular phone customers to make international calls without paying long-distance charges. Companies earn in this strategy through the interconnect fee paid by mobile networks. They use part of most of the fee to purchase international calling routes at low prices.
