Exchange-traded fund investing in firms engaged into manufacturing telephone and internet products, and providing internet and phone services, as well as technologies. The fund has various aspects and each of it focuses on one aspect of the industry. International telecom ETFs invest in leading telecommunications firms around the world. It does not dwell on a single aspect of the sector, but it trails the industry as a whole. Also called communications industry ETF.
