Investment instrument which increases 10 times of its initial purchase price. While it refers to any investment that escalates or has the possibility to increase ten-fold, it normally describes stocks with significant growth potential. Legendary fund manager and avid baseball fan Peter Lynch coined the term. Bag is a slang term for base; hence, it represents two home runs and a double, or a largely successful baseball play.
