TENEMENT
Housing structure with several houses or units joined together. It mostly refers to a housing usually inhabited by lower income families. Tenements are merely rental properties which are more practical for families or individuals who cannot afford a house, or for those who wished to live in an area including city centers where there are no houses to purchase. Often called apartment.
