THIRD MARKET MAKER
Third-party securities dealer ready and willing to purchase or sell the exchange-listed stocks at a publicly quoted prices. These dealers add liquidity to financial markets by executing orders even if no buyer or seller is immediately available in a transaction. They also place trades for brokers on exchanges where the latter is not a member. Third market makers generate profit by buying low and selling high.
