TONTINE
Financial arrangement for generating capital in which individuals pay into to a common pool of money and then receive dividend based on their contribution and the investments’ performance made with pooled money. The principal invested is never paid back to the investor but the latter will receive dividends until he passes away. Should the shareholder die, his shares will be split among the remaining investors.
