TRADING AHEAD
Situation in which a specialist is trading a security for his own account while placing sudden orders from a customer for the same security. Trading ahead violates one of New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)’s rules since it puts the clients at a disadvantage when trading. Also, trading ahead damages the integrity of the market and can possibly make a worse situation for other traders.
