TRAILING STOP
Trade order which can be placed at a certain percentage away from the security’s current market price. For a long position, it is set below the security’s current market price; while for a short position, above the current price. Trailing stop aims to safeguard against an investment’s downfall while locking in profits. The stop order can also set a particular amount instead of a percentage. Also called chandelier stop.
