TREASURY YIELD
Return on investment on the US government’s debt obligations such as bills, bonds, and notes. Expressed as a percentage, it also refers to the interest rate on a specific government-issued bond. These yields not only influence the amount of money the government pays to borrow and the amount of money investors earn by investing in this debt, but also the interest rates paid by individuals and business in borrowing money to purchase real estate, automobiles, and equipment. It also acts as an indicator of the overall economic sentiment.
