TRUST INDENTURE ACT OF 1939
Federal legislation prohibiting offering bond issues valued at more than $5 million without a formal written agreement or indenture, signed by both the bond issuer and the bondholder. The law also requires appointing a trustee for all bond issues to avoid compromising the bondholder’s rights.
