UPSTAIRS DEAL
Upstairs Deal is a type of business agreement created under the the upper managements knowledge. This deal is usually unknown and does not concern the lower-level employees unless it has been decided to be announced publicly. The term upstairs deal was derived from the fact that the upper management usually have their offices in the higher floors of the company building. Upstairs deals between two companies usually end up in friendly takeovers.
