UPSTAIRS MARKET
Upstairs Market is a the act of trading securities including stocks in a broker-dealer firm as opposed to the normal exchange like the stock exchange and the over-the-counter market. Usually, the broker-dealer is the bridge and acts as both seller and buyer to both parties in an upstairs market transaction.
