10-YEAR TREASURY NOTE
Debt obligation with a 10-year maturity. Issued by the US government, the note pays interest at a fixed rate semi-annually. Interest payments from 10-year Treasury notes and other federal government securities are tax exempt in state and local levels, but are still taxable at the federal level.
