ADD-ON SALE
A sale of additional service or goods to a buyer. The add-on sales may signify a source of significant profits and revenues to a company depending on the business. An add-on sale is often suggested by the salesperson after a firm decision to buy the core service or product has been made by the buyer. Sometimes referred to as upselling.
