BACK-OF-THE-ENVELOPE CALCULATION
A casual arithmetic calculation, usually executed on a scratch paper like an envelope. This computation utilizes projected and/or rounded amounts to rapidly produce a ballpark amount. The outcome should be more precise than a guess, but will be less exact than a right computation made utilizing an actual amounts and a calculator or spreadsheet.
