BASE II
A data processing network administered by Visa USA for the arrangement and clearing of bank card transactions between card issuers and card-honoring merchant banks. This arrangement supplies net daily account settlement within Visa member institutions. Base II resolves the transactions while the alternative data processing system by VISA, Base I, enables the transactions.
