BLACK MONDAY
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 508 points or 22% on October 19, 1987, one of the most drastic losses endured by the Dow Jones and the beginning of the global stock market drop. Most of the key exchanges declined more than 20%. Despite the unknown reason for the downfall, DJIA ended positively within the same year.
