CalPERS stands for California Public Employees' Retirement System, a group that gives abundant benefits to its more than 1.6 million members, including mortgage program,distribution of pension and retirement-related financial benefits, long-term care insurance, death benefits and health insurance. CalPERS Investments is the nation's biggest public pension fund and, as far as you can see on its size, it is capable of exercising important pressure to make chosen alterations within the companies in which it invests.
