CARRYING COST OF INVENTORY
Cost a business incurs over a specific time period in holding and storing its inventory. Companies use the data to determine how much profit can be generated on current inventory. It also aids them in finding out if it is necessary to produce more or less to keep up with costs or maintain the same income stream. Also called carry cost of inventory.
