CHANNEL STUFFING
Deceptive business practice in which a firm inflates its sales and earnings futures by sending more inventory to retailers than it can sell to the public along its distribution channel. Distributors temporarily bolster their accounts receivables since more product is pushed out than the usual. However, it may also lead to more items being returned to distributors.
